About the Community Action Task Force
We are the Community Action Task Force (CATF), a group of community members in Hartford, CT. Our message is clear, to have quality of life, we must have quality food.
We advocate for food justice for ourselves, our friends, families, and neighbors. We are the resident-driven arm of the Healthy Hartford Hub (HHH) initiative.
Who We Are
We are the Healthy Hartford Hub Community Action Task Force advocating for a mixed-use development in the Arrowhead Gateway.

We Advocate on behalf of our neighbors in North Hartford, effectively garnering resources that promote operational change.

We facilitate communication between residents and decision-makers in collaboration with local government & anchor institutions, i.e., non-profit organizations, and hospitals

Wellville: Advancing Equitable Wellbeing in Hartford
Wellville is a 10-year national nonprofit initiative dedicated to achieving long-term, equitable, community wellbeing. By fostering collaboration across residents, organizations, and systems, Wellville serves as a catalyst for change in five U.S. communities, including Hartford’s North Hartford Promise Zone (NHPZ).
What is Wellville?
Wellville’s mission is to:
- Improve health and wellbeing through resident-centered, multi-stakeholder collaboration.
- Serve as a model for other communities, inspiring them to adopt and enhance strategies that prioritize equity and wellbeing.
- Transform how the nation invests in its people, institutions, and systems to achieve lasting change.
As one of the Wellville 5, Hartford has focused on initiatives that address food access, housing stability, health equity, and economic opportunity. These efforts align closely with the Healthy Hartford Hub (HHH) and its vision for the Arrowhead Gateway area.

The Hartford Wellville Team has been instrumental in driving change by:
